Juggling
is interactive fun playing with mind, matter, and gravity...
Why Juggle? Juggling is challenging, gratifying, fun
that develops coordination and uses both sides of the brain. It is easily
accessible, requiring minimal equipment, non-competitive, and boosts self-confidence.
Juggling has been shown to build upper body strength and coordination,
as well as developing cumulative learning skills. And you thought this
was just for people who liked to dress up funny on the
streets of big cities!
Actually, juggling is a lifelong skill which can add hours of fun to
anyone's life. Teach a child to juggle and they've got a skill they can
teach others, use to entertain themselves and their friends... to say
nothing of a potential job skill should their first college choice fall
through (ok, we are kidding!).
Teaching an older person to juggle is very rewarding... right up there
with teaching a grandmother to use email to talk to her grandchildren.
Grandparents who can juggle are just cool. And, the exercise of juggling
requires an exercise in focus and dexterity which is fun... something
sadly lacking in most programs for seniors.
Our juggling kits are also used in therapudic settings... but most of
our kits go to people just like you, who want to learn the skill themselves
without spending hours trying to fish balls out from under the couch,
or want a fun and unusual gift.
